ETS Laboratory

ETS operates one of the largest full-service professional geotechnical and materials testing engineering laboratories in the area. Our spacious on-site lab is fully equipped for plant control, construction quality control, and materials design, including; concrete, asphalt, soils, and soil-cement, and accredited by AASHTO. Geotechnical testing capabilities include aggregates, asphalt materials, masonry, grout, brick and block, concrete foundations, steel, and fireproofing.

The ETS laboratory is equipped with facilities for moist-curing and storage of field-prepared concrete cylinders in accordance with ASTM E 329. Additionally our Test Mark Industries, Inc concrete compression machine is equipped with a capacity of 250,000 pounds and gauge buster. The gauge buster/MegaForce combination automatically controls the loading rate and measures the comprehensive strength of concrete cylinders in accordance with ASTMC39.
CBR, Unconfined, and Triaxial testing are conducted by state-of-the-art Humboldt Digital Masterloader Machine, HM-3000.3F.AU Laboratory test results are generated electronically
Most importantly all of our technicians are ACI and/or VDOT certified to conduct soils and concrete testing and our laboratory equipment is calibrated annually by Professional Calibration, Inc.
